Spotify has refreshed its Premium subscription lineup in India with three new plans: Premium Lite, Premium Standard, and Premium Platinum. The update aims to give listeners more flexibility and control over how they stream music, with prices starting at ₹139 per month.
The Premium Lite plan is the most affordable, priced at ₹139 per month. It offers an ad-free listening experience but lacks some of the advanced features available in higher tiers. This plan is best suited for users who want uninterrupted music without paying for extras.
Next is the Premium Standard plan, priced at ₹199 per month. It brings high-quality, ad-free audio, and offline downloads, allowing users to listen to their favorite songs, playlists, and podcasts without an internet connection. Interestingly, Spotify’s Student Plan, which costs ₹99 per month, offers the same benefits as the Standard tier, making it a strong choice for college users.
The most premium option, Premium Platinum, costs ₹299 per month and is packed with advanced features. Subscribers will get access to Spotify’s AI-powered tools like AI DJ and AI Playlist, along with support for third-party DJ integrations and mixing tools. Platinum users can also enjoy lossless audio streaming, which offers studio-quality, uncompressed sound. Another key highlight of the Platinum plan is that it allows two additional members in the same household to have separate accounts under one subscription.

Spotify’s move comes at a time when the company continues to expand rapidly in India and other emerging markets. Earlier this year, Spotify raised its Premium price in India from Rs 119 to Rs 139 per month.
According to the company’s third-quarter 2025 financial report, Spotify’s Premium subscribers grew 12 percent year-over-year to 281 million, while its monthly active users (MAUs) increased by 17 million, reaching 713 million in total.

The introduction of tiered pricing could help Spotify strengthen its position in India’s growing music streaming market, which has become highly competitive with players like Apple Music, YouTube Music, and JioSaavn.
