PhonePe has announced a major partnership with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to users across India, marking a big step toward expanding the reach of artificial intelligence in the country. The collaboration aims to make ChatGPT easily accessible through the PhonePe app, allowing users to experience advanced AI features for everyday needs.
Through this integration, PhonePe users will be able to explore ChatGPT’s capabilities directly on the platform. Users can do so many things from planning trips and managing shopping lists to getting helpful suggestions and answers in real time. The goal is to make AI more useful and relatable to Indian users, while enhancing PhonePe’s own ecosystem of digital services.
The partnership will extend to both the PhonePe consumer app and the PhonePe for Business app, with future integration plans that include the Indus Appstore. By combining PhonePe’s massive user base with OpenAI’s leading AI technology, both companies aim to drive wider adoption of generative AI in India.
