Microsoft and Epic Games are coming together to bring Fortnite players a better and more connected experience. Starting next week, Fortnite will officially launch on the Xbox Store for PC with full Xbox Play Anywhere support. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members are also getting Fortnite Crew benefits at no extra cost. There are even some Rocket League rewards included in this new update.
These changes make Fortnite easier to access and more valuable, especially for gamers who already use Game Pass Ultimate.
On November 18, Fortnite will be available directly from the Microsoft Store for Windows. This means you can download and play Fortnite using the Xbox app on your PC without relying on the Epic Games Launcher.
The biggest upgrade here is Xbox Play Anywhere support. This feature allows you to keep all your progress, purchases, and unlocked items across devices. If you play Fortnite on your Xbox console and then switch to your PC, everything stays exactly the same. Your skins, battle pass progress, settings, and purchases will automatically carry over.
This is useful for players who switch between console and PC or share devices at home.
The other major change arrives on the same day: November 18. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will receive Fortnite Crew benefits as part of their monthly perks. Normally, Fortnite Crew costs $11.99 per month, but now Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can get it at no additional charge.
This makes the subscription even more appealing because it adds more value without increasing the price.
