Samsung has launched the Galaxy A17 5G in India. This new phone is the successor to last year’s Galaxy A16 5G.
Samsung Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which is stronger than the glass used on the A16 5G.
The phone runs Android 15 with One UI 7. Samsung has promised 6 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
The smartphone packs an Octa Core Exynos 1330 5nm processor and Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
The rear camera setup includes a 50 megapixels primary camera, a 5 megapixels ultra wide camera, and a 2 megapixels macro camera. It also has a 13 megapixels selfie camera.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and bottom-ported speakers.
Connectivity options are 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C Port. Samsung Galaxy A17 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
