OnePlus is hosting its Summer Launch event on July 8, and it is going to be a big one. The company has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus Nord 5, Nord CE 5, and OnePlus Buds 4 in both Indian and global markets.
This is the first time the Nord series is getting a proper flagship-level chipset. The OnePlus Nord 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the same chip found in recent high-end Android phones. It will also use LPDDR5X RAM. The teaser shows a dual-camera setup on the back with an LED flash, and the design looks very close to the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra Edition launched earlier in China.
OnePlus is clearly targeting gamers with this phone. It will support BGMI at native 90fps, and can boost that to 144fps with frame interpolation. Even Call of Duty Mobile will run at 144fps natively. For cooling, it will use a 7,300 mm² VC cooling system with graphene layers that deliver 1,800W/m-K efficiency, the same as the flagship OnePlus 13.
The phone’s back panel will have a patterned texture, but the teaser does not show an IR blaster, which some people might miss.
While the Nord CE 5 will also launch on the same day, OnePlus has not revealed much about it yet. But it is expected to bring a solid mid-range experience at a competitive price, just like its predecessor.
The OnePlus Buds 4 will also debut at this event. These earbuds come with Dual Drivers, Dual DACs, and support for Hi-Res LHDC 5.0 and 3D Spatial Audio. They are designed for gamers too, offering ultra-low 47ms latency in Game Mode. They will be available in Zen Green and Storm Gray.
These buds are already available in China and offer up to 55dB active noise cancellation across 5500Hz ultra-wideband. The three-mic system also helps with clear call quality using AI noise reduction.
Both the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 will be available via Amazon.in, OnePlus India’s website, and offline stores after launch.
