After years of iOS exclusivity, Adobe has finally brought Photoshop to Android. The company has officially launched the beta version of its Photoshop mobile app for Android users, giving creators access to powerful editing tools, AI features, and a smooth mobile-first experience.
The app is now available as a free download from the Google Play Store. It supports devices running Android 11 or later with at least 6GB of RAM (8GB recommended).
The Android version of Photoshop brings a wide set of tools for image editing, photo retouching, graphic design, and AI-powered enhancements. Adobe says the app is built for speed and simplicity, aimed at creators who want to edit or design directly on their phones.

- Editing with Layers and Masks: You can make advanced edits using selections, layers, and masks—just like the desktop version.
- AI Tools: Includes Firefly-powered Generative Fill, allowing you to make changes using simple text prompts. Other tools like Tap Select and Remove use AI to quickly isolate or delete objects from a photo.
- Retouching Tools: Use Spot Heal, Remove Tool, and Adjustment Layers to fine-tune your images without affecting the entire photo.
- Creative Design Tools: Create collages, posters, flyers, album covers, and more by combining images, overlays, and textures.
- Text and Graphics: Add custom text, stickers, and effects to create memes, story slides, and logos right on your phone.
- Easy Exporting: Save your work in JPG, PNG, TIF, or PSD formats and share directly from the app with Quick Export.
Beta users will get limited-time access to premium features, including Firefly generative AI, with monthly generative credits. Adobe also encourages users to send feedback to help shape the future of the app.
As of June 3, 2025, Photoshop (Beta) for Android is available to download on Google Play. It is free during the beta phase and brings Android users much closer to a full Photoshop experience on mobile.
