Amazon Prime members in India experienced record-breaking delivery speeds in 2024. The company delivered over 41 crore items on the same day or next day, a 26% increase compared to the previous year. It seems the company’s investment in logistics and fulfillment centers is paying off.
Amazon expanded its same-day and next-day delivery service coverage by 11% in 2024. This helped the company to provide benefits from rapid deliveries to more people. Prime members now enjoy free, unlimited same-day delivery on over 10 lakh products and next-day delivery on over 40 lakh products. The company also delivers over 20,000 best-selling items on the same day within just hours.
Not just speedy delivery, Prime Members also saved big with an average savings of over INR 3,300 on shipping costs. That’s more than twice the cost of an annual Prime membership. This shows that paying for the Prime membership is worth it.
Amazon Prime has also expanded its focus on essential everyday products through Amazon Fresh. In 2024, close to 20 crore units of essential products—including groceries, pet supplies, beauty and healthcare items, and baby products—were delivered the same or the next day. Customers in select cities also benefited from 2-hour scheduled deliveries.
Amazon Prime has grown beyond just fast deliveries. Since its introduction in India, it has evolved into a complete membership package offering exclusive deals, early access to sales, and entertainment benefits. Customers also get access to Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Prime Gaming.
