Atomic Wallet users lost over $35 million in the latest hack

Atomic Wallet

Hackers recently exploited the vulnerability in the Atomic Wallet system and stole crypto from several users’ wallets. On June 3, the company tweeted to acknowledge the multiple incidents where users lost their portfolios. Now, the company is investigating the issue and has yet to confirm what’s happening. To prevent further breaches, the company has taken down its download server.

Several users reported that funds from their Atomic Wallet app suddenly disappeared. On-chain sleuth ZachXBT, known for tracing stolen funds, did further investigation and claims that over $35 million in crypto has been stolen

BleepingComputer reported that Atomic Wallet is now collecting additional information from victims for further investigation. Victims are asked to submit this information on a Google Form.

Users are clueless about how they lost their portfolios. The company also has no explanation. So, it is unclear how hackers compromised the system. Users are advised to transfer their crypto assets to other wallets.
