WhatsApp for iPhone is finally getting Picture-in-Picture support for video calls

WhatsApp

In December 2022, WhatsApp announced Picture-in-Picture support for iPhone and made it available for beta users. Now the company has started rolling it out to all iPhones running iOS 12.0 or later. So, you can now keep using other apps while on a video call on WhatsApp. You need to update WhatsApp to version 23.3.77 to use this feature.

The PiP feature on WhatsApp calls works the same way on FaceTime. Once you are on call, you can minimize the app, and the video call will be shown in a small floating window.

The new update also adds the ability to add captions when sending documents, support for longer groups, and options to personalize avatars. You can also now use avatars as stickers and profile photos.
