Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ with 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Announced

Along with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung has also unveiled Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ at its Galaxy Unpacked event. These phones are similar and differ only in display size and battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy S23 features a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O flat Display and Samsung Galaxy S23+ comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O flat Displa. The display panel has 48-120Hz adaptive refresh rate but has up to 1750 nits brightness. The display panel also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back.

These phones are powered by an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The vapor chamber cooling keeps the phone’s temperature under control. Galaxy S23 comes in three models: 8+128 GB, 8+256 GB, and 8+512 GB. Galaxy S23+ only comes with 8+256 GB, and 8+512 GB models.

The rear camera setup includes 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS, 12 megapixels 120° Ultra Wide camera, and 10 megapixels telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The rear camera can record up to 8K 30fps. It also has 12 megapixels front camera.

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, USB C 3.1, and NFC. The Galaxy S23+ also features Ultra-Wideband connectivity.

Galaxy S23+ packs a 4700mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. Galaxy S23 comes with a 3900 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Both phones also support Qi wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.

These phones will be available to pre-order from today and will go on sale from February 17.
