Battery percentage

Apple today released iOS 16 beta 5 and it comes with several notable features. The company has finally added the battery percentage that was removed after Apple added a notch in the iPhone.

In the previous iPhone when the battery percentage was there, it appeared to the left of the battery icon. Currently, users need to swipe down to Control Center to see the battery percentage. With iOS 16, the battery percentage will appear within the battery icon.

To enable battery percentage, go to Settings, then Battery, and toggle on Battery Percentage.

The purpose of battery percentage is to give users an idea of the battery level of the device and how much juice is left. Due to the notch, Apple removed the battery percentage to save space for other important icons. So, every time you need to swipe down the control center to see the battery percentage.

With this new change, the battery percentage will always be visible at the battery icon. It is not a big change but surely will make the life of a lot of people easier.

The battery percentage is available in the latest iOS 16 beta. If you are running beta software, update to the latest iOS 16 beta for getting the battery percentage on your phone. Normal users will have to wait until Apple starts rolling out the stable version of iOS 16 for all users. The iOS 16 will be available soon after Apple announces the upcoming iPhone 14 models.
