Apple wants to make it easier to buy iPhones and other Apple products. We know that the prices of Apple’s hardware products are high for most people. So, the company is now thinking to introduce subscription pricing that would let customers purchase Apple products at a specific monthly fee. The plan is not yet finalized, so we don’t know how it could work.
Customers who cannot afford the high cost of the iPhone or other Apple products can use the subscription-based model and pay a monthly subscription fee to own Apple products. This could make products affordable for the masses, but it also depends on the monthly subscription prices. At this moment, the plan is still in the works. So, there are not many details.
Apple’s iPhone generates more than half of the revenue for the company. Many of these customers purchase iPhones in installments. So, they pay monthly installments to own an iPhone. When the subscription model becomes reality, customers will surely compare it with EMI purchases to see what makes iPhone cheaper for them.
Apple’s software subscription services contribute a lot to Apple’s revenue. The company offers Apple Music, iCloud, Apple TV Plus, Apple Fitness Plus, and Apple Arcade services at monthly subscription. There’s also Apple One bundle that comes with several subscriptions at a single price.
The company is currently working on iPhone 14 which will be launched in September. We can expect the hardware subscription to be announced alongside the new iPhone. Apple’s hardware subscription plan is still in conversation. So, this could also be scraped if Apple doesn’t find it beneficial. So, we have to wait until anything becomes official.
