Apple releases iOS 14.6 offering lossless audio and Apple Podcasts subscriptions

Apple has released the latest iOS 14.6 update that mainly focuses on the audio segment. This update brings options that will lossless audio or Dolby Atmos when these are available next month. The iOS 14.6 isn’t a major update but brings some notable features.

The update also brings Apple Podcasts subscriptions. So, Podcasts users can now subscribe to content in the app for bonus content and other perks. Apple has also added options to mark all episodes as played, remove downloads, and recover old episodes.

Apple is also adding a notable option for AirTag owners. Now you can add an email address as a contact method for the lost tracker.

The iOS 14.6 also brings support for Apple Card Family. It enables families to start a Family Sharing group. Any two members of the group can share a single Apple Card. They can also track purchases, and manage spendings together. Parents can also share their cards with their children by adding spending limits and controls. This feature is only for the US.

Users who use Voice Control can also unlock their iPhone after a restart using only their voice.

The latest version of iOS also brings some bug fixes and security improvements.
