Realme has just announced the launch of its latest mid-range 5G smartphone Realme 8 5G in India. The phone starts at Rs. 14,999 and will be available starting on April 28.

Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also boasts a 180Hz touch sampling rate and promises a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. There’s a punch-hole for the selfie camera.
The back of the phone is made of glass where the company has used a high-gloss indium plating process on Supersonic Blue to restore a glossy sense of light. The lenticular pattern process has also been used on the Supersonic Black to present a premium mirror effect to bring. So, the back creates a dynamic change of light when the phone is shaken.
Realme 8 5G packs an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes in 4GB and 8GB RAM options with 128GB storage. The storage is also expandable up to 1TB with a microSD card. The phone included a dedicated microSD card along with two SIM card slots.
There is a triple camera with 48 megapixels primary camera, 2 megapixels Black & white camera, and 2 megapixels 4cm macro camera. It also has 16 megapixels selfie camera.

The fingerprint sensor is located on the side. Realme 8 5G offers 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type- C connectivity options. It also packs a 5000 mAh battery with support to 18W fast charging.

Realme 8 5G will be available from Flipkart, realme.com, and offline stores starting April 28. It will also be available in Europe starting at 199 Euros in May.
