Oppo unveils ColorOS 11 based on Android 11

ColorOS 11

Oppo has officially announced ColorOS 11 based on Android 11. This is the first UI skin based on Android 11 to hit the market. Last year, Oppo unveiled ColorOS 7 that came to smartphones earlier this year starting Find X2 Pro. Now the company jumped straight from ColorOS 7 to ColorOS 11 to maintain parity with Google.

Oppo focused on Personalisation, Productivity, Camera, Accessibility, and gaming while making ColorOS 11. It will be soon available to several Oppo smartphones including Find X2, Find X2 Pro, Reno 3, and Reno 3 Pro.

ColorOS 11 comes with a customization dark mode where you can choose from three distinct color profiles for dark mode. The UI will automatically adjust the background and icons depending on your selection. The UI lets you make your own backgrounds, ringtones, and AOD styles.

ColorOS 11 is getting floating windows for multitasking. You will also get an instant translation of on-screen content via a three-finger gesture.

Oppo has also included Super Power saving mode that promises to extend battery life go your phone. This mode lets you pick up to 6 apps that can run in low-battery scenarios. Then it switches everything off in the background. Oppo claims that you can get 90 minutes of WhatsApp usage even after the battery is down to 5%.

ColorOS 11 public beta is now available for Find X2 series and the Reno 3 series. This public beta is based on the stable Android 11 release. The beta is limited to India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia in addition to China. It missed Europe due to GDPR guidelines but stable ColorOS 11 will be amiable to all the regions.

ColorOS 11 will be available to 28 phones. Here is the timeline when different Oppo Phones will get the ColorOS 11 beta.

OPPO has also confirmed that stable ColorOS 11 will be available by the end of 2020.
