Mi Box 4K streaming device launched in India at Rs. 3999

Mi Box 4K

Xiaomi has just launched its latest 4K Android TV box called Mi Box 4K in the Indian market. It is priced at Rs. 3499.

Mi Box 4K runs on Android TV 9.0 and features a built-in Chromecast. Unlike Mi TV that runs on PatchWall, Mi Box 4K runs on the stock Android TV interface.

You can stream 4K content on a TV using this device. It also supports HDR10 playback if your television’s display supports it. It also has Google Play, so you can stall more apps.

You can connect it on your existing television through the HDMI port. The device is Wi-Fi enabled to connect to Internet. Then you can access popular streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and more on your television.

The device comes with Mi Voice Remote with Netflix and Prime video shortcuts. There’s also a dedicated Google Assistant button for voice search.

XIaomi has also partnered with Docubay, Epic, HoiChoi, and Shemaroo to provide content offers to all Mi Box 4K buyers.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4K specifications

Xiaomi Mi Box 4K will be available from May11th at 2PM on Flipkart, mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio.

It will compete against Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K that is priced at Rs. 5999 in India. Other streaming devices include Airtel XStream Stick and MarQ TurboStream. The only downside one could see is the lack of support for Dolby Vision content on the Mi Box 4K. But Mi Box 4K is an affordable 4K streaming device. So, it will surely be a hit in the Indian market.
