Snapdragon 675 is based on 11 nm architecture and Snapdragon 710 is based on 10nm architecture. That means, Snapdragon 710 will be slightly better in battery efficiency but that slight difference will still depend on the optimization of UI.

Snapdragon 675 comes with octa-core processor and comes with Kryo 460 cores. 2 high-performance cores are clocked at 2GHz and 6 efficiency cores are at 1.7GHz. It uses latest ARM Cortex-A76 cores for high-performance that is the first to in mid-range segment.

Snapdragon 710 uses the combination of Qualcomm’s Kryo 360 CPUs. It has eight cores where two high-performance cores are clocked at 2.2 GHz and other 6 efficiency cores are clocked at 1.7GHz.

Kryo 460 CPU is slightly better optimized, so the CPU performance of Snapdragon 675 is slightly better than Snapdragon 710.

  • Xiaomi Mi8 SE features the SD710 and scored 174,333 in Antutu
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro features the SD675 and scored 180,808 in Antutu

But Snapdragon 710 easily beats Snapdragon 675 in GPU performance. It is because it uses more powerful Adreno 616 GPU as compared to the Adreno 612 GPU. So, gaming performance will be better in phones with Snapdragon 710. If you are looking for good gaming performance, you should consider Snapdragon 710.

Both Snapdragon 675 and Snapdragon 710 chipsets support multi-core Qualcomm AI Engine.

Snapdragon 675 only supports FHD+ display with screen resolution up to 2520×1080 pixels while Snapdragon 710 supports up to Quad HD+(3360×1440 pixels) display with support to HDR10. So, a phone with Snapdragon 710 can offer a better display if implemented.

Snapdragon 675 comes with Spectra 250L ISP that can handle 14-bit processing. It enables three cameras on the front and back. It also enables features like 5x optical zoom and Bokeh mode. ISP supports up to 48MP snapshots, Single 25-Megapixel camera at 30 fps and dual 16MP camera configuration at 30 fps.

Snapdragon 710 supports has spectra 250 ISP that can also handle 14-bit processing. It supports 32 MP on a single camera and dual 20 MP cameras. It offers features like active depth sensing, image stabilization, and super-resolution. It

Both the chipsets support 4K video capture @30FPS and 1080p video capture @120 FPS.

Snapdragon 675 lies with X12 LTE modem that can offer up to 600 Mbps downlink and 150Mbps uplink speeds. The X15 LTE modem in Snapdragon 710 supports advanced LTE technologies like carrier aggregation and it can offer up to 800 Mbps downlink and up to 150Mbps uplink speeds. Both the chipset sport same connectivity options.

Technically Snapdragon 710 should offer slightly better battery efficiency but that still depends on implementation and UI optimization. Snapdragon 675 supports QuickCharge 4+ as opposed to QuickCharge 4.0 in Snapdragon 710. So, phones with Snapdragon 675 can charge at a faster rate.

Conclusion

Both the Chipsets come with octa-core CPUs, however, they have different clock specs and different CPUs. Snapdragon 675 offers better CPU performance but Snapdragon 710 is better in GPU performance. Both have similar camera features, the same connectivity options, and similar AI features. Snapdragon 710 can offer slightly faster LTE performance. Not much differences, but gamers should prefer a phone with Snapdragon 710.
