Oppo has just announced a new smartphone Oppo Reno in China. The phone comes with 10x lossless zoom and side-lifting front camera. There are two versions of the phone including Reno and the Reno 10x Zoom Edition. That means the standard version of the phone misses the 10x Zoom capability. There are also lots of other differences the I will explain later in the article.
First of all, I will talk about Reno 10x Zoom Edition that has specifications. Oppo Reno has a unique kind of side-lifting front camera to offer notches screen. The phone has 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
The phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 with Adreno 640 GPU. It comes three RAM storage options including 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The phone has a camera setup that includes 48 megapixels primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, PIS, Laser AF, CAF, 13 megapixels periscope telephoto lens with f/3.0 aperture and 8 megapixels 120° Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture. The periscope telephoto lens is to provide 10X Hybrid Optical Zoom.
There is also a 16 megapixels front camera with LED flash. The side lifting camera setup can withstand over 200,000 times of lifting and it takes 0.8 seconds in lifting processor.
The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner. It packs 4065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
OPPO Reno Standard Edition is slightly smaller and weaker. It features 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The phone packs Octa Core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU. It also comes in same RAM storage models that are 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The standard edition lacks periscope telephoto lens and comes with just a dual camera setup that has 48 megapixels primary Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 5 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.
It also has 16 megapixels front camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture.
This model also has In-display fingerprint sensor, Hi-Res audio, and Dolby. It packs 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.

Oppo has confirmed that the 5G variant of Oppo Reno will also be launched next month.
