Sony has launched its Sony α6400 mirrorless camera in India. The camera joins its E-mount mirrorless camera line-up.
Sony α6400 features a 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor and latest-generation BIONZ X image processor to deliver good image quality and nice color reproduction in different shooting conditions.
The standard ISO range is up to ISO 32000 for both photos and movie, but it is expandable up to ISO 102400 for still images.
The camera can record 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) movie with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. Focus during movies is also fast and stable due to the upgraded Fast Hybrid AF technology. It can also record Full HD at 120 fps at up to 100 Mbps.

The camera can also be used tor time-lapse movie creation and the built-in interval recording can be set anywhere between 1 and 60 seconds.
It also features continuous shooting at up to 11 fps mechanical shutter / or 8 fps silent s8 fps silent shooting. It can shoot at these speeds for up to 116 frames JPEG Standard / 46 frames RAW compressed. This increases the chance of capturing perfect moment.
The camera even claims to feature world’s fastest 0.02 seconds AF acquisition speed along with 425 phase-detection and contrast-detection AF points. It overall covers approximately 84% of image area. So, the camera can perform well even when you are capturing fast moving subjects.
Sony α6400 also features advanced “Real-time Eye AF” technology that process eye data in realtime offering enhanced accuracy, speed and tracking performance of Eye AF.
It has fully 180-degree tiltable, 3.0-type LCD flip screen with 921k-dots of resolution. The screen is touch sensitive and offers different functions like Touch Pad, Touch Focus, Touch Shutter and new Touch Tracking.
The camera is built with a tough magnesium alloy design. It is dust and moisture resistant. It also features extremely durable shutter that is rated for approximately 200,000 cycles.
It features WiFi and NFC connectivity that allows you connect your phone with the camera and transfer photos quickly from camera to your phone.
