YU Televentures has launched its new smartphone YU Yunicorn in India for Rs. 12999. But this pricing is only for one month. After a month, it will be sold for Rs. 13999. This phone will be available exclusively from Flipkart.

Yu Yunicorn features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by 1.8GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with 4 GB RAM. It comes with 32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128 GB. As the phone comes with Hybrid slots, you can either use dual SIM feature or expand storage.

It runs on in-house developed Android on steroids custom OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Android On steroids (AOS) comes with various apps-integration with the feature called Around YU. In this, you can enjoy various features without actually installing those apps. For example, you can book cabs from Ola or Uber and order food from Foodpanda without installing these apps. The company has also introduced its own wallet.
It features a 13-megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and 5P lens. It also offers a 5-megapixels front camera for selfie shooting.
It has a fingerprint sensor on the physical home button. For better audio experience, it also offers a DTS audio. It comes with 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS connectivity. It is packed with 4000mAh battery and company claims that phone is capable of giving 4 days of mixed usage.
