6 GB RAM smartphones are now real. Vivo announced its latest flagship device Vivo Xplay5 with 6 GB RAM, and Snapdragon 820 Soc. 4GB RAM variant will also be there with octa-core Snapdragon 652 Soc. The vivo Xplay5 Ultimate Edition with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 820 SoC is priced at 4288 Yuan (US$ 654). 4GB RAM with Snapdragon 652 variant is priced at 3698 Yuan (US$ 564).

Vivo Xplay5 features a 5.43 inch Quad-HD AMOLED dual curved edge display. The display is also protected with Gorilla Glass. As I already mentioned, it will be available in two processor variant with different RAM. One variant will come with quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 5 GB RAM. It comes with Android 6.0 with Funtouch OS 2.6 at the top. Another variant will be powered by a Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 4 GB RAM. It runs on Android Lollipop with Funtouch OS 2.5.1
It comes with 128 GB internal storage. It features a 16 megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and Sony IMX298 sensor. It also comes with an 8-megapixels front camera.
It also packs a fingerprint sensor at the back side of the device. Connectivity features of Xplay5 are 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is packed with 3600 mAh battery. Dimensions are 153.5X76.2X7.59mm and weight is 167.8g.
