10 Features of iOS 9 You Must Try

Apple has finally pushed iOS 9 upgrade. Your device will automatically prompt you to update when it is available to you. This new version of iOS comes with various improvements and few new features. Update is big in size and will take time in downloading and installation. I tried iOS 9 and found few good things added in this update. I recommend you to try these new features added to improve your productivity with your iOS device.

10 Features of iOS 9 you must try now

1. Hey Siri

Just like ‘OK Google’ command of Google Now, you can also activate Siri from anywhere by saying a voice command ‘Hey Siri’. But it will only work if your device is ‘plugged in’. On iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, you can use this ‘Hey Siri’ when it is not plugged in.

By default, this feature is disabled. You can enable it by going to Settings -> General -> Siri. Here, enable and then speak a few voice commands to let Siri understand your voice.

2. Low Power Mode

iOS 9 also comes with low power mode which enhances battery backup of the device. When the phone is on low power, it will stop background app refresh, mail fetch, visual effects, automatic downloads to reduce battery consumption. When you plugged the device to charging, low power mode will automatically disabled.

3. Keyboard now changes when you tap shift

In iOS 9, finally apple has added the thing which confuses most of the Android users who recently shifted to iOS. Now, when you tap on Shift in keypad, keyboard actually changes to reflect small or caps characters. So, you know that you are going to type what case of characters.

4. Search in settings

Now you can search within settings to quickly find settings option you want to use. This is a good thing because every time Apple adds new settings options, it becomes harder to find it. Now, search bar will let easily find it.

5. iCould Drive App

Apple has also added a iCloud Drive app to let you access your iCloud quickly. By default, there is no app on homescreen. You need to enable it to use.

6. Public Transit Returns!

Apple has finally added public transit in Apple Maps. But it is available only in selected countries and cities. In India, it is not yet available.

7. Selfie and Screenshot Folders

Now you can see two more albums in iOS 9. These are Selfie and Screenshot folders. So, you can quickly access Selfie and Screenshots.

8. Hide Photos

Now, you can hide photos from your album. To hide photos, you can select all photos you want to hide and then select the share icon at bottom left side. Now, you will see hide option. All hidden folders will be there in a hidden folder. I am not sure why Apple is calling it hidden if anyone can access that hidden folder.

9. Siri Suggestions

In iOS 9, Siri is smarter and its suggestions are useful. Siri is more accurate and faster. It can be accessed on the Search page which is just a swipe away from home screen.

10.Back Between Apps

Now if you are using an app and it have some content to display in other app, you will see an option to back to the previous app within the other app.
