China’s Xiaomi has achieved another milestone by setting the Guinness World Record of selling 2.12 million phones in 12 hours. This happened at “Mi Fan Festival” which was held to celebrate 5th birthday of company. During this time period, company sold handsets and other accessories of worth $335 million.
Company confirmed this via tweets. Although, company confused us in numbers. In one tweet, it mentioned 2.12 million. But Pwc confirmed the audited numbers as 2.11 million. The new record has been certified by the official Guinness World Records team.
Xiaomi broke its record from the same event last year. Last year, it sold 1.3 million smartphones.
