Asus has launched its Asus Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) and Asus MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) in India for Rs. 10999 and Rs. 19999.

Asus FonePad 7 (FE171CG) is a Dual SIM tablet with dual standby. It features a 7 inch IPS display with 178 degree wide viewing angles and anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with ZenUI at top. It features a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. Connectivity features of the tablet are 3G HSPA+ (with voice calling), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. It is packed with 3950mAh battery.

It comes with 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE,GPS and NFC connectivity. It is packed with 4350 mAh battery which claims to offer 9 hours of battery life.
