Oppo has launched its slimmest smartphone, Oppo R5 in India for Rs. 29,990. It went up for pre-orders in India on January 1 and was launched back in December 30 2014. Now it is available at all major retail stores across the country.
Oppo R5 is just 4.85 mm thick and was the slimmest smartphone until Vivo launched Vivo X5max.
Oppo R5 features a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED display at 423ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64 but octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB RAM. It comes with 13 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash. It also has a 5 megapixel front camera. It runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 2.0.1 based on Android 4.4 kitkat. It comes with 16 GB internal storage which is non-expandable.
It comes with various connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, TD LTE, LTE FDD, and Micro-USB. It is worth to mention that it does not habe 3.5 mm jack. Consumers will have to use micro-USB to 3.5 mm audio jack adapter. It is packed with 2000mAh battery.
