After the success of Mi3, The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its new device Xiaomi Redmi 1S for the Indian market. The firm is sending invitees to the bloggers for the two separate events scheduled at Bangalore and Delhi. The Bangalore event is on 25th August 2014 and Delhi event is on 26th August 2014. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999.
Xiaomi Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch IPS display. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. Xiaomi Redmi 1S will run on MIUI v5 on top of Android 4.3. Coming to the photography, Xiaomi Redmi 1S features a 8MP rear or back facing camera with features like LED Flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1.4ųm sensor. It also features a 1.6MP front facing camera. Other features include 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card upto 64GB. Talking about the connectivity features, Xiaomi Redmi 1S has normal connectivity features like 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG. The battery backup of the smartphone seems fine as it has 2000 mAh battery battery.
Xiaomi Redmi 1S will be facing competition from Zenfone 4 and Moto E which are already available in the market in the same price range but the specifications of Redmi 1S is better than other competitors. We are waiting to see the response of the consumers.
