GOQii Fitness Band Launched in India For Rs. 6,999

GoQii fitness band now available in India. It comes with advance wearable technology and algorithm to determine many things related to your fitness. It was initially announced in February this year. It was launched by Vishal Gondal, former CEO of Indiagames.

This band is being sold as a service not just as a gadget. It works on subscription model with 6 months of annual subscription options. Users can talk to their coach using instant messaging. They can also schedule an audio or video calls with trainer. Smartband tracks the activities of users. There is an mobile app which can interact with band and show your the stats based on the collected data. Coach analyzes the data to give fitness tips. You can also connect your app with your social media accounts to share your data with friends. You are awarded karma points for your progress.

Six months subscription costs Rs. 6,999 while 12 months subscription costs Rs. 11,999.

As of now this band is compatible with devices running on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 or higher.

The company is headquartered in California with offices in Mumbai and Shenzhen. Company is also planning bring service to more countries including Singapore, UAE, USA and UK. For expansion, company has also raised undisclosed amount of funds from WhatsApp’s Neeraj Arora, and Amazon’d Marco Argenti.
