Recently there are many phablets that are launched in India by different firms. This is just because companies think that Indians love phablets and, therefore, it is not a surprise that the market is flooded with these big-screen smartphone-cum tablets across price points. In last few weeks there are several good phablets that are launched in India within different price range. Here are phablets launched in India recently.

1.) HTC Desire 816

HTC has launched its latest phablet named HTC Desire 816. The phablet has been announced at the MWC 2014 earlier this year. HTC Desire 816 will be available in four different colors namely Black, White, Red, Green and Purple. The phablet is priced at Rs. 23990. It is assumed to be a great competitor for Sony Xperia T2 Ultra which is also recently launched in the Indian market.

Talking about the features, HTC Desire 816 has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by a .6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The phablet will run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HTC Sense 6.0 on top. Talking about the photo clicking abilities, HTC Desire 816 has a 13 MP rear or back facing camera with features like LED flash. Its is also equipped with a 5 MP front facing camera with features like 720p HD recording.

Now let’s come to the connectivity features, HTC Desire 816 has 3G, WIFI a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptx amd GPS. The battery backup of the smartphone seems good as it has 2600 mAh battery.

2.) Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Sony has finally launched its new smartphone Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual that was announced earlier this year. It is assumed to be company’s latest mid-range phablet in India. It is priced at Rs. 25,990. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual comes in Black, White and Purple colors. It will be available from all e commerce sites and  stores starting from 20th March.

Talking about the features, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual has a 6-inch (720 x 1080 pixels) HD TRILUMINOS Display for mobile with X-Reality picture engine. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The phablet runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Talking about the photo clicking abilities, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual has a 13-megapixel rear camera Sony Exmor RS sensor LED Flash and 1080p video recording. The phablet is also equipped with 1.1-megapixel HD front-facing camera with Sony Exmor R sensor. Sony Xperia Ultra Dual has a  dual SIM support with dual standby.

3.) Micromax Canvas Doodle 3

Micromax  launched Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 for Rs. 8500. Company started teasing Canvas Doodle 3 few days back. As opposed to expectation, this smartphone comes with low hardware specifications. Canvas Doodle 2 was a high end smartphone.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 features a 6-inch (854 x 480 pixels) touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with 4 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

It comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front VGA camera. Connectivity features of the smartphone include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and GPS. It is packed with 2500 mAh battery.

4.) Lava Iris 550Q

Lava has introduced the company latest smartphone named Lava Iris 550Q. It is priced at Rs 13,000. The smartphone will be available only in one color that is black. It would go on sale through national retail chain stores, multi-brand outlets across India and online stores in April. There is also a offer for the users that it comes with a free flip cover.

Talking about the features, Lava Iris 550Q has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology. It is also powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Talking about the photo clicking abilities, Lava Iris 550Q has a  8-megapixel rear or back facing camera. It is also equipped with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has narrow 3mm bezel that makes the body smaller.

Talking about the connectivity features, Lava Iris 550Q has 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The battery backup of the smartphone also seems good as it has a 2600 mAh battery with up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G.

5.) XOLO Q2500

XOLO has launched a pocket pad big screen smartphone XOLO Q2500. It is listed on official website for Rs. 14,999. It comes with 6 inch display and quad-core processor.

XOLO Q2500 powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor with Mali 400 GPU. It features a 6 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but upgradable to Android 4.4 Kitkat. It is packed with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage with microSD card slot.

It features a 8 megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, flash and 1080p FHD video recording. It also has a front camera of 2 megapixel. It features 3G, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and WLAN connectivity. It is packed with 3000 mAh battery which offers 600 hours of standby time.
