Lenovo India is warning Indian consumers from buying company’s products via online retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal or Amazon. Lenovo has added a notice on official website saying that online retailers are not authorized Lenovo resellers. Lenovo also asks buyers to check the warranty while buying products from these retailers.
Lenovo asked consumers to visit Lenovo Exclusive stores only if they want to purchase Lenovo products. If you want to know the nearest Lenovo store from your location, send SMS Lenovo (Pincode) to 54242. FOr online purchase, visit official Lenovo store thedostore.
Lenovo has not confirmed the reason why it has decided to take this step. All these online retailers allow other retailers also sell their products. There may a case that an unauthorized seller is also selling products using these online marketplace.
Most of the online buyers never check the warranty because they assume that product is genuine. Very few people know that Flipkart and other online retailers lets other sellers to sell their products.
