Google Nexus 5 Officially Launched for $349; India Price Also Revealed

Finally Google has unveiled its new Google Nexus 5 smartphone built by LG. It is priced at $349. Thanks to previous leaks, we already know much about the smartphone. This smartphone comes with new version of Android 4.4 Kitkat.

Google Nexus 5 features 4.95 inch IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by 2.3Ghz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor onboard and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It is packed with 2 GB RAM and comes in differnet storage models. It also has a 8 megapixel rear camera with Optical Image stablization and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.

Nexus 5 comes with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB connectivity. It is packed with 2300 mAh battery.

“We partnered with LG to develop Nexus 5 — the slimmest and fastest Nexus phone ever made. Its design is simple and refined to showcase the 5” Full HD display. Nexus 5 also keeps you connected at blazing speeds with 4G/LTE and ultra fast wifi,” Google noted in a blog post.

It will be available in United States, Canada, U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea for $349 (16 GB) and $399 (32 GB). It is also coming to India for Rs. 28,999 (16 GB) and Rs. 32,990 (32 GB). Google Play Store has already listed the smartphone for India ‘coming soon’ tag. It is the first time when Google has announced a Nexus device for India on the day of official announcement.
