Two new tablets for kids now are available in Indian market. Swipe and HCL has launched their kids specific tablets called Swipe Junior and HCL ME Champ. Samsung already has a kids specific tablets Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids.
Swipe Junior is a 7 inch tablet with 5-point multi-touch display. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean. It has a 2 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. Tablet comes with parental lock feature. So parents can block the internet usage, App restriction, and set timer to set amount of time each day children can access.

HCL has also lanched a tablet for kids called HCL ME Champ. It features 7 inch multitouch display with 800×480 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor with Mali-400 GPU. It features a 2 megapixel rear camera and a front VGA camera. It is packed with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. See key features of the tablet below.
Like Swipe Junior, It also has parental lock feature. Parents will be able to set usage time, app lock and internet lock. It also comes with many pre-loaded apps including Opera Mini, Kingsoft Office and Hungama.
