HTC Butterfly is a nice smartphone but the price was more than expected. People can buy Galaxy S4, iPhone 5 and Xperia Z for the lower price. There is nothing special in the smartphone that attract users to pay this much of amount. If the price cut is official, this might help company to compete with Xperia Z and Galaxy S4.

HTC is also planning to launch HTC One in India soon. This price cut may be an indication that HTC One is coming in India soon.
