How to Reset Android Phone to Factory Settings

Android is the most popular smartphone operating system. In India, most people buy Android smartphones. The primary reason for Android’s popularity is its availability in different price segments. As the device is used, processing get slower. Some users also complain about the crashing issues. If the device is getting slower and crashes, it’s time to reset the Android phone to the Factory Settings.

Note: Before going to reset the Android phone, you must take a backup of important data. After performing these steps, you will lose all data stored on your Android Phone.

Follow these steps to reset your Android Phone.

  • Go to Menu
  • Now navigate to settings and select SD & Phone storage.
  • In the new screen, you will see many options. Here select “FACTORY RESET DATA”
  • Now it will ask, “Are you sure want to erase all the data?” Select “Reset phone”.
  • That’s all you need to do to reset Android phone.
You can also follow these steps:
  • Hold the HOME button and RED Power button for 30 seconds until you see a triangle with an exclamation mark at the centre. Keep holding it even though the G1 logo shows up.
  • Now you have the following four options –
  • ALT + L Toggle log text display between exclamation and menu options
  • ALT + S Apply SD card Update
  • ALT + W Wipe data and factory reset
  • HOME + BACK for reboot of your mobile
