FileSonic has blocked Filesharing feature to personal use only.
A statement on FileSonic’s home page reads, “All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.”
FileSonic also suspended its affiliates rewards program, which paid users when people downloaded their files. It is still not clear if the company plans to return money to several thousand subscribers who would have paid up for its range of services.
