Microsoft Brings All New Powerful Surface Book 2

When Surface Laptop was announced, we thought that it would replace Surface Book. But the company now upgraded the Surface lineup with new Surface Book 2. This time, the company has tried to fix existing issues. The new model looks a direct competitor to the MacBook Pro line. Microsoft also claims it to be the most powerful Surface laptop yet.

Microsoft has launched two different models with screen sizes of 15-inch and 13.5-inch. 15-inch display model offers 3240 x 2160 resolution and 260 PPI pixel density. The 13.5-inch display model has 3000 x 2000 resolution.

Surface Book 2

Surface Book 2 is powered by 8th gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and 1060 discrete graphics options. As per claims, it is twice as powerful as the latest MacBook Pro and five times more powerful than the original Surface Book. It also claims to be world’s thinnest and lightest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 PC. The 13-inch model comes in Intel i5 and with 8 GB RAM base model and Intel i7 with 16GB RAM base mode. The 15-inch model comes with Intel i7 with 16GB RAM.

Consumers will get up to 16GB RAM options and up to 1 terabyte of solid storage option. There is a 5 MP front camera and 8 MP rear camera option. Both models come with support for Dolby Atmos. The keyboard is also backlit.

These laptops come with USB-A, USB-C, and full-size SD card reader ports. Microsoft claims up to 17 hours of video playback.

It retains the S pen feature from the original Surface Book. It also has S pen feature from the original Surface Book.

Surface Book 2 is designed for gaming and Mixed Reality experiences. It can handle most of the popular PC games and will match the graphics performance of game consoles like Xbox One. It also has built-in Xbox One Wireless support on the 15″. So, you can also pair Xbox One controllers and compatible headsets to enjoy the games.

It is also Windows Mixed Reality Ultra ready. So, you can connect a compatible headset and controller for apps to enjoy crisper visuals and a higher refresh rate.

Surface Book 2 with the 13″ weighs 3.38 lbs and the 15″ Surface Book 2 at 4.2 lbs. The 15″ measures 13.5 x 9.87 x 0.9 inches and 13″ measures at 12.3 x 9.14 x 0.9 inches.

Both models will be available for pre-orders starting November 9 in the United States at your local Microsoft Store and Microsoft.com. Deliveries will start from December 16. The 13″ model starts at $1,499 for the Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB, integrated GPU version, and the 15″ model will be sold at a starting price of $2,499 for the Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB, dedicated GPU version.
