After several leaks and rumors, finally, Samsung has announced a new smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8. This phone is shock resistant, shatter resistant, water resistant and dust resistant.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be available starting from August 11 exclusively from AT&T for $28.34 for 30 months, which adds up to about $850 (Rs. 54255 approx.). It will go on pre-order from tomorrow, August 8th. There are also several other offers.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a metal frame and bumper to protect it from shock abrasion, tilting or twisting. The phone comes in Meteor Gray and Titanium Gold colors. The phone also features fingerprint and iris scanners.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active comes in 5.8-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. The phone comes in 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage.
The phone offers Android Nougat. It has 12 megapixels dual Pixel Rear Camera with LED flash,f/1.7 aperture, OIS and 1.4µm pixel size. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
It has Water and dust resistant with IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810G. It offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth v 5.0 (LE up to 2Mbps), GPS with GLONASS, USB 3.1, NFC and MST connectivity options. It is packed with 4000 mAh battery.
