Mobile payments platform Paytm has added another interesting payment category. Now, you can pay traffic challan from Paytm.
To pay traffic challan, you just need to log on the app, tap on ‘Traffic Challan’, enter their vehicle number and proceed to pay after verifying few other details. You will also receive a digital invoice of the payment.
The surrendered documents will be dispatched via postal services by the respective police department. So, you will not have to go to Police station for collecting your documents.
“Traffic Challan payments in India largely happen at select counters and in cash. We are glad to partner with the state traffic police departments to enable challan payments on the go,” said Senior Vice President at Paytm, Kiran Vasireddy.
As of now, the service is available in Mumbai, Pune, and Vijayawada. The company has already confirmed its plans to expand the service to more cities soon.
