Honor 9 with 5.15-inch display, dual camera announced

Honor has announced its latest flagship phone Honor 9 at an event in China. The phone got all those specifications that were rumoured in different reports.

Honor 9 has 5.15-inch 1080p display with DCI-P3 color space and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 960 processor, i6 co-processor and Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. It comes in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage models. You can expand storage in both models.

The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMIU 5.1 at the top. It has fingerprint sensor located on physical home button below the display.

The phone has dual camera setup with 20 megapixels monochrome sensor and 12 megapixels RGB sensor. It also has dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone offers 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C connectivity options. It is packed with 3200 mAh battery with support to fast charging.

It comes in Blue, Amber Gold, Gray and Black colors. The phone looks beautiful. It has a 3D metal and glass body. It also changes color when light is reflected on it. The dimensions of the phone measure 147.3 × 70.9 × 7.45mm and weight is 155grams.

The 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at 2299 Yuan, the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage is priced at 2699 Yuan and the top-end model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs 2999 Yuan. The phone will go on sale starting June 16 and pre-orders start today.
