Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app is now available for iOS users. While the app was scheduled to come on January 10, but it was delayed by one month. This app was initially launched for Android back in December last month with the aim to push cashless transactions using UPI.
With this new iOS app, BHIM app will reach few more users. The iOS app is only available in Hindi and English app while the Android app now supports various regional languages.
As of now, the app supports over 30 different banks and allows users to perform cashless transactions with UPI id, phone number and Aadhaar Number.
Last month, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also confirmed that the app crossed 1 crore downloads mark. Many users were initially not happy with the app because of too many errors and the app was also not properly able to handle high load. With the recent app, now the app is performing better.
Indian Government wants people to ditch their current wallet app and start using BHIM app for payments.
