Most of the phone makers boast about camera’s megapixel and then claim to offer the good camera performance. People also think that the larger megapixels count, better the camera experience. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Camera UI
Redmi Note 4 runs on Miui that has a clean camera app with different camera effects and modes. You can get Panorama, Timer, Manual, Beauty, Scene, HHT and more modes to use. The only disappointment is that you have manual mode but with restricted options. So, you will not enjoy the freeness of manual controls.
At the top side, you have options for Flash and HDR. When you switch to front camera, these options are replaced by the Beautification mode.
The camera app has no issues and I never found it lagging or taking time in capturing a shot. The shutter is fast and you can quickly focus and capture a shot. So, you are less likely to miss a shot just because of camera delay.
Rear camera performance in broad daylight
In broad daylight, this camera is amazing and captures accurate colors and sharp details. I tested this camera during a trip to Himalaya and I was happy to prefer Redmi Note 4 over other phones I had. See these camera samples. These shots are better in terms of color reproduction and sharpness than the shots taken from Redmi Note 3.
Indoor and low-light camera Performance
Indoor and low-light performance is also good and it depends on the light around. While the ultra-low light images captured with flash had noise, it is still fine. Overall, it is way better than many other phones with 5 megapixels camera.
Front camera Performance
Selfie experience was also amazing and I got various amazing shots.
Both front and rear cameras can record Full HD videos and the video quality is impressive. Noise cancellation of the mic is still average, but the video quality is good. There is no OIS in the camera, but videos are less shaky as e electronic stabilization does a good job.
While the camera of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 does not seems powerful enough on paper due to the fewer megapixels count than other phones, this camera breaks the most recognized myth about the camera. The camera of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 captures more sharp images and natural colors.
If you are looking to buy a good camera phone under Rs. 15000, you can consider Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 over other phones.
