Reliance Jio Services will be free even after 31 March, 2017 : Reports

Reliance Jio

We have a good news for Reliance Jio users. As per new reports, the Jio services will be free even after 31 March 2017 but only for a small amount traffic.

On 31 March 2017, the existing Happy New Year plan will expire. But, Reliance Jio has another plan to keep its services free to users. While offering the services for free is not possible due to the pressure of other telecom operators and TRAI, the company has managed to find a solution for this.

It will bring a new Rs. 100 tariff that will upgrade your free services plans up to 30 June. So, users will be able to use unlimited voice calling, SMS, data, and apps usage.

Till now, the company has not charged a single penny from customers. The connection is also free of cost.

The main reason for bringing this new tariff is the new case registered by Airtel to Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT). Airtel also accused the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for being the mute spectator on the matter. The idea also joined the league and supported the Airtel in the case.

The new Rs. 100 tariff will help the company retain few customers but it cannot offer free services for the life time. If it starts charging customers, most of its customers who still use Jio as the secondary number will stop using it. I will blame Jio for this. The services are now of very bad quality. jio to Jio calling is also a big pain nowadays. How can one trust Jio as the primary number?

Most of the customers are with Jio just because of its free services. Are you willing to pay Rs. 100 after March 31 for Jio’s free services? Let us know your views in the comments section.
