Today at an event in Delhi, BlackBerry has launched its Android smartphones DTEK50 and DTEK60 in India. BlackBerry BTEK60 was officially announced last month while BlackBerry DTEK50 was announced back in July this year. These phones are officially priced at Rs. 21990 and Rs. 46990.
BlackBerry DTEK50 is already available on Amazon for Rs. 24350. BlackBerry DTEK60 is also listed for Rs. 50,900.
BlackBerry DTEK50 comes with 5.2-inch Full display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 and 3GB. It comes with 16 GB internal storage with microSD card slot to expand storage up to 2TB.
I features 13 megapixels rear camera with dual-color LED flash. At front, it has 8-megapixels camera with front flash.
It is packed with 2610 mAh battery. It has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC connectivity options.
BlackBerry DTEK60 is larger with 5.5-inch. Display offers 1440×2560 pixels resolution and 401 PPI pixel density. It is packed with 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530. It is packed with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
It has 21 megapixels rear camra with dual color LED flash and PDAF. At front, it has 8 megapixels front camera.
This smartphone comes with 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity options. It also has a fingerprint sensor a located at the back of the phone.
It is packed with 3000 mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0.
Considering the the specifications, both phones seems overpriced. But we should not forget the software and security features the phone offers. Still, I do not think Indian consumers will take interest in these phones.
