Microsoft has just announced its all-in-one Surface computer with Windows 10. Microsoft calls it “Surface Studio” and it aims to take on iMac.
Surface Studio features a 28-inch PixelSense display and offers full Unibody enclosure. It has 32 GB of memory and 2TB of hard drive. It also includes GeForce 980M, a radial input with haptic feedback, multiple ports, including Ethernet, SD and USB 3.0.
It claims to have the thinnest LCD monitor ever built with the thickness of just 1.33 mm. This 28-inch display has 13.5 million pixels. It is worth to note that 4K display only has 8.3 million display. Microsoft has focused on color accuracy.
Surface Studio’s hinge consists of two chrome arms attached to the base. The hing is designed to easily let you go from upright to flat working device without resistance. The screen can also lay at a low 20-degree angle.
It also supports Windows Hello. Other features including Cortana support, HD camera and a “linear mic array”. This mic system is able to pick a user’s voice from across the room. It also has integrated 2.1 speakers.
Surface Studio also supports Surface Pen which makes this a good option for graphics professionals.
The Surface Studio will be available for pre-order starting today for $2999. There are three different variants of Microsoft Surface Studio.
