Facebook has been aggressively focusing on videos and same is being done by Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp. After getting success in videos, now Instagram is working on Live video option similar to Facebook.
A Russian user reportedly found a button saying “Go Insta!” within app’s camera interface. Tapping on this button starts love streaming. Check the snapshot below. According to the user, he tried the recent beta app of Instagram on his Nexus 6P device.
There was also an option to schedule the video. It is interesting to note that Facebook has just announced the scheduling feature for live videos. Instagram will debut the live videos with schedule option.
The Live icon will be featured alongside Stories with a label “live” on the home feed. Tapping on this icon will open up a section showing “popular live broadcasts.”
Live videos on Instagram make sense because it focuses on videos or photos. So, users will take more interest in live videos than they take on Facebook. Instagram users are the ideal crowd for a live-streaming feature.
