Facebook Pages get the option to schedule Live Video

Facebook Live

Live Video is a nice feature of Facebook and many people have started using it. The only drawback was that most of your viewers don’t know when you’re planning to go live. Most of the businesses and people first post about it multiple times and let people know the schedule of the Live video. But, Facebook has addressed this by offering an option to schedule feature.

As of now, this is available for verified pages only. Verified pages can now schedule a live video and users can be notified about videos up to a week in advance. People who have liked the page will see your schedule in their news feed and they can set to get the reminder before the Live video starts. Pages can them promote their links to get more viewers.

Not just on app or website, Facebook Live API will also allow users to schedule streams. So app developers can also use it to schedule Live videos from their app.

It is worth to note that the feature is available only for verified pages, not verified users.

Facebook will also open a pre-broadcast chat room for people to start the discussion about the topic or video before the live video begins. This will be the good option for viewers.

This new feature will add more value to Live video feature and it will also give Facebook a new advantage in the battle with Periscope and YouTube Live. Periscope is the most affected service after the launch of Facebook Live. And the most of the users have shifted to Facebook Live.

This option ensures more viewers and better reach.
