Siri, Apple’s voice-controlled digital assistant, has seen a lot of progress in recent times. This impressive digital assistant can handle all sorts of tasks such as Making phone calls, reading and sending messages. However, its services were available to only a few third party apps and Whatsapp wasn’t among those few, until now.
Recent leaks suggest that Siri will now be extending its services to Whatsapp, allowing users to send and read messages as well as make calls on Whatsapp through Siri’s voice commands. This comes as no surprise as Sirikit was made available to developers recently at WWDC 2016 for the first time.
After being acquired by Facebook, Whatsapp has seen significant development, from end to end encryption to latest voicemail feature, it is gaining more functionality.
Though there has been no official statement, it is speculated that the Whatsapp integration with Siri will take place only after iOS 10 is launched, which is set to happen in September.
