MIUI 8 is Now Rolling Out to Eligible Devices

As already confirmed, MIUI 8 Stable ROM is now available for eligible devices. MIUI 8 was announced earlier this year but all Xiaomi fans were waiting for it desperately. Starting today, the company is being rolled out the stable MIUI 8 update to Xiaomi smartphones. You can either wait for OTA update to hit your device of you can install it manually.

Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 5, Mi Note and Mi Max 32GB are the smartphones which will receive the MIUI8 Stable ROM update. But the company has decided to roll out in phases. So, not all devices will get the update in the first phase.

The update is available for Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G smartphones. Owners of these devices can head to this MIUI forum thread to download and install this manually. If you are not sure how to do this, you can wait for OTA update.

The update will be open to everyone on August 25th.
