Finally, the name of the upcoming version of Android is revealed. Named Android Nougat, the operating system is highly anticipated by fans of the platform. While existing devices are still not getting Marshmallow updates, it may lead to confusion what phone to buy if you want to get Android Nougat updates. Huawei Nexus 6P
Nexus 6P is the latest flagship device in the Nexus line of smartphones, so, it goes without saying that it will be the first to get access to the latest version of the OS. You can be assured to get the update for this version within a few days of the public launch.
LG Nexus 5X
LG Nexus 5X is the current Nexus device in the mid-range category and hence will get the update at the same time as the Nexus 6P.
HTC 10, HTC One A9 and HTC One M9
These devices include the latest flagship and the predecessor series. The company has already announced clearly that they are going to release the update for these as soon as possible.
There are other devices that have no confirmation for the inclusion in this update cycle, however, we think that the manufacturers are going to add them to the ever-growing list.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
Being the latest flagship, the device will definitely get the latest version. However, as it runs on a custom skin known as TouchWiz, the update will not be available immediately after release.
Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus
Motorola devices are known to be the devices which are next to only the Nexus devices in terms of the promptness of the release of the updates.

This is an upcoming device in the Note series of smartphones at Samsung. We are not sure if the device will be called or as reports suggested earlier will be called the Note 7.
LG G5
There is no official announcement regarding the availability of the update, however owing to the fact that its other competitors are going to launch the update we also think that the company will compulsorily make it available for the device.
The other devices that can get the update are the LG Nexus 5, the Moto X Force and Moto X Style.
