OnePlus launched its OnePlus 2 smartphone last year in July in a VR event. For the launch of OnePlus 3, the company will again use the similar kind of VR launch but in the better way. This time, it will be a fully-interactive, immersive, 3D VR event. For this, the company has partnered with AntVR to introduce Loop VR Headset.
OnePlus will be giving out this VR headset for free in US and Europe. In India, it is available from Amazon for Rs. 1. In both options, shiping cost will be taken from customers. Amazon will be holding the sale for this headset on June 3 and June 7. So, we can assume the launch of the phone to happen after 10 june.
OnePlus Loop VR headset offers 100-degree field of view and good for smartphones with the 5-6-inch display. It has Orthoscopic lenses and weighs 366 grams. It has distortion free field of view and you can fine tune lenses for perfect focus. To give you comfort, it offers adjustable straps and snug inner-padding. Good thing is that the Loop VR also fits comfortably over glass.
OnePlus 3 has been leaked in renders and we saw its design. We also got to know rumoured specifications including 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 820, 3000mAh battery, 16-Megapixel primary camera and 8-Megapixel secondary camera. This time, we are expecting full metal build phone as shown in the leaked photos.
Even if a person is not interested in OnePlus 3 sale, he can still get this VR headset for almost nothing. So, we can see large crowd ready for this sale.
OnePlus 3 is expected to launch in June and sales should start from July. Company is also expected to adopt the same invite based model what it used in previous OnePlus One and One Plus 2 smartphones.
