Asus announces the Transformer 3 series

Asus has rolled out some new Transformer Notebooks at a press conference before the Computex 2016 starting with the Transformer 3 Pro 2-in-1 notebook computer. If you look closely, you will easily spot the similarities to the Microsoft Surface 4 Pro, but on the inside, the notebook is packed with more storage and memory. At 9.35mm thickness, the machine has a Core i7 processor, 1TB PCIe SSD, and 16 GB of RAM.

Talking of the display, the Transformer 3 Pro comes with a 12.6-inch 2880 x 1920 resolution unit with 275ppi. It covers around 121% of the total sRGB space and the machine has dual front speakers. In terms of connectivity, Asus has equipped the Notebook quite well with a USB Type-C, a Thunderbolt 3 port, and HDMI output. The rear camera has a 13MP sensor and the front camera supports Windows Hello Facial Recognition.

The Transformer 3 is placed below the Pro version. It is thinner  6.9mm and has a 12.6-inch screen with 2880 x 1920 resolution and 450 cd/m2 brightness. Other interesting additions are the four internal speakers manufactured by Harmon Kardon speakers. The Notebook runs on a 7th generation Core i7 processor. Storage is up to 512GB SSD and the machine can be fitted with up to 8GB of RAM. In terms of connectivity, it is also fitted with a USB Type-C port and Thunderbolt 3 port, the HDMI output is missing. Located at the back the primary camera comes with a 13MP rear sensor.

The last of the series is Transformer 3 Mini. It is hailed as the lightest 2-in-1 PC of all time, thanks to its magnesium alloy built. With the keyboard attached, the Notebook weighs at 790g whereas it weighs 530g without it. Transformer Mini is 8.2mm thick and has a 10.1-inch screen and according to the claims by Asus, it can provide up to11 hours of battery life per charge.

As of now there is no information on the price of the three devices.
